Horse Tattoos: The Good, The Bad, The In-Between
Let's start off with the good tattoos:
This was a favorite in "standard" portrait tattoos. Great size, placement, and proportion.
Our favorite in the "abstract" category. The leaves blend nicely into the piece. Also nice placement.
Nice and light. A soft tattoo that would look great on a guy or gal.
Another abstract piece. Beautiful coloring and shading really bring it to life.
Go big or go home! Just look at the detail! Hey, our tastes aren't for everyone...
Not many cacti in PA, but if we were from the SouthWest, this tattoo would be right up our alley.
Nice thick lines in traditional tattooing style.
Probably a bit too surreal for most, but we think this is just lovely.
Jockey Alexandra Strokes shows off her lovely ink after a win!
And now, the bad.
You know you the saying: "You can't have your cake and eat it too?" Either go horse, or butterfly. Not both.
Is it just us, or do you immediately see back acne?
Is this a chipmunk or a horse? At least it's better than the butterfly head.
This is going to look like a bunch of bruises in a couple years.
What?
How long does a tattoo last? Forever. You're gonna be a grown-up someday, Pimp Unicorn.
C'MON YOU'RE NOT EVEN TRYING.
Again- let's stop mixing species, people. GO ONE OR THE OTHER.
Why'd you do that? Why'd you do that to yourself? *Shakes Head*
I quit.
These guys are the leftovers; not quite home in the good or bad categories.
This is just a cool pic of jockey Alex Solis. Dude should ride shirtless. Jus' sayin. What? It's a cool tattoo
The workmanship is there. It's pretty amazing, but is it necessary? We think not.
Perhaps the lower back was a bit of overkill, but we dig the symmetry!
Traditional sailor-style tattoo. We're just not sure about the lipstick.
It's a cool piece, we're not denying that. But don't they just look like they're sniffing each other's rears?
This one just makes us laugh out loud.
