We’re on the way to an afternoon post time at The Meadows when we can’t help but do a doubletake at the igloo up ahead. Just the site of this vintage ice cream stand is refreshing. We order up a root beer float and ask about the history of the parlor. The gal inside says, “Oh it’s just the owner’s most favorite thing. This was his dream for ages.”
Well, for a couple of intrepid TrackPackers, this wonderful little place was a dream come true during the latest heat wave. (Oh yeah, there’s a go-cart track for your own personal racing right out back. Probably best to finish your soft serve first.
